Are you ready for the weekend?
It is spring time in Johnston County and every weekend you could attend area festivals. Everyone is hoping for Spring time weather, but the show must go on rain or shine. Starting this weekend in Selma (Saturday, April 19), the Car Classic will take place on the main streets of Selma amongst the antique stores, Edleweiss Cafe and the parade of restored cars. Events begin at 10am and the popular “Take-a-part a Model T Demo” will be at 11am, Rick Sanders will perform from 1-3pm and there will be food and craft vendors as well.
After you visit Selma, you may want to drop by the Arboretum Plant Sale-a-bration in Smithfield (Saturday, April 19th) from 9am-2pm to purchase herbs, vegetables and annuals for your garden. And later that night, Roy Clark will perform at the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium, call 209-2099 for ticket information. Wow, it’s a busy weekend in the Smithfield/Selma area!
